F3S Features:
Every forged F3S wheel was developed to carry a unique profile and the most concavity available to achieve maximum brake caliper clearance. It’s common for wheel brands, ourselves included, to produce profiles that will share bolt patterns as long as the width and offsets are similar. In the case of our forged wheels, including the F3S, our goal for every target vehicle was the most brake caliper clearance and the most concave profile possible. This involved introducing multiple brake caliper options, including OEM upgrades as well as larger aftermarket brake kits. So that you know exactly how your wheel’s profile will look before you even purchase them, we have detailed 3D renders for every single part number we’ve developed, and you can view them right here...Click Here

TOUR THE F3S
The sleek, split-spokes of the F3S create two different window sizes – one is
a larger "D" shape while the other forms a smaller, triangular shape. Both windows and spoke sides feature pronounced ball cuts to remove excess material from the front of the spokes revealing a web which translates stress around the window as it radiuses into a slightly raised drop center flange. A C-channel flange used on the wheel’s lip greatly increases overall rigidity. A series of precision cuts, radius, chamfers and angles were used to shed material anywhere I wasn’t needed in an effort to further reduce and improve fatigue strength by reducing stress concentrations. All of this is found and confirmed using state of the art Finite Element Analysis (explained below).
FEA Analysis
Utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and advanced engineering simulation
software, we push every wheel design through countless variations of impact,
bending, and stress simulations. The processes help optimize wheel weight,
increase strength and rigidity, and reinforce high-stress areas. FEA allows us
to do hundreds of minor adjustments and simulations before we even get to
actual physical testing.
Concavity Profile
Traditional wheel designs often struggle to accommodate larger brake setups, especially on performance-oriented vehicles. Konig Forged wheels address this by utilizing size-specific concavity profiles. By strategically dishing the center section, we create ample clearance for big brake kits without compromising the wheel's overall design. This ensures optimal braking performance without resorting to spacers, which can introduce fitment issues and affect handling.
Knurled Bead Seat
Konig forged wheels incorporate knurled bead seating, a design feature that enhances the tire-to-wheel interface. This textured surface optimizes grip and minimizes tire slippage during high-performance maneuvers, promoting precise handling and driver confidence.
Ball Cut Wheel
This spoke window design incorporates a ball-cut framed section to enhance rigidity. The frame creates a secondary load path, improving deflection resistance and load transfer. Additionally, the framed section visually separates the window into two sections within the same area, adding a dimensional aesthetic to the wheel. To minimize unsprung weight and rotational mass, lightening holes have been strategically placed throughout the design.
